If the sudden disappearance of millions of believers had one voice, it might be found in the realization of the Rapture. And just as if this supernatural phenomenon were that one voice, then loudly and clearly would that voice be heard as the Rapture quotes Bible references about itself, confirming them in its wake and warning those who were not ‘taken up’ of serious trouble ahead – both in the here-and-now and eternity future.
At that time Michael, the great prince (the Archangel) who protects Your people, will arise. There will be a time of distress such as has not happened from the beginning of nations until then. Multitudes who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake: some to everlasting life, others to shame and everlasting contempt.

Since you (believers) have kept My command to endure patiently, I will also keep you (Rapture you) from the hour of trial that is going to come on the whole world to test the inhabitants of the earth.
Revelation 3:10
This post-Rapture era, known as the Tribulation, will be the most violent of times in the history of the world. Death, brutality and destruction will be part of everyday life. One of the defining characteristics of the last days following the Rapture will be a lack of peace. There will be civil wars throughout the world: people will kill one another indiscriminately. Random acts of violence will fill people with fear. Car-jackings, home invasions, drive-by shootings, and bombings will all increase with an intensity that will leave people with absolutely no sense of security. When Jesus spoke to His disciples about these days, He said, “people will betray one another and hate one another . . . the love of many will grow cold” (Matthew 24:12).
And many Left Behind questions will be tightly bound to one vital theme: How Am I Going To Survive This?
In order to survive this time, you will most likely need to remove yourself from society and live in a remote area that is difficult to access. Getting together with a group of like-minded people would provide additional support and safety.
Stock up on food, medicines, living supplies, weaponry, and gold. You will need enough for 7 years. Don’t plan on being able to supplement your food with hunting and fishing because the stocks of wild animals and fish will have been depleted and destroyed by the 3.5-year worldwide drought (brought on by the Two Witnesses – Revelation 11:3-13) and three successive meteor-like or comet-like objects that strike the earth sometime after the Rapture (Revelation chapter 8).
The first object from outer space to strike the earth will destroy 1/3 of all trees and all the green grass on earth. The second object, more like a meteor, will strike the sea, destroying 1/3 of all sea creatures and 1/3 of all shipping. The third object will turn 1/3 of all freshwater poisonous and many people will die.
Needless to say, all of this will also seriously deplete the world’s food supplies, causing food prices to skyrocket: And I heard a voice from among the four living beings say, “A loaf of wheat bread or three loaves of barley will cost a day’s pay. And don’t waste the olive oil and wine” (Revelation 6:6).
Those who never before missed a meal or worried about food will become very familiar with hunger pangs and what it is to go without food for long periods of time. And this will be one of the causes of the increased violence across the world, as people will become more and more desperate and competitive for the food sources in short supply.
The advice written here may seem a paltry sum in light of the horrors that those Left Behind will face during the Tribulation, but God has allowed it and if you cry out to Him, He will help you through – somehow. He always provides people who turn to Him with a way through and out.
This poor man cried out to the Lord—and the Lord heard him and saved him out of his troubles.
Psalm 34:6
God has many times provided for and protected those who would seek Him out, as recorded in the Bible. He took care of His prophet Elijah by setting him next to a brook of clean water and sent ravens to bring him bread and meat every morning and evening (1 Kings 17:2-16). He made a way of escape out of Egypt for the Israelites by parting the Red Sea, allowing them to cross the dried seafloor through and out to safety on the other side (Exodus 14:21). He provided quails and manna (a heavenly bread) for the Israelites while they were in the desert (Exodus 16:1-18).
How might He care for and provide for you if you open your heart and turn to Him for protection?
You might be very angry with God because of the Tribulation, but may I very gently – and respectfully – recommend that you don’t waste any time shaking your fist at God. Yell and scream if you must, but use your hand instead to reach toward Him. You won’t have to reach far. His hand is right there, ready to clasp yours and He wants to help you.
Turn to Him in truth, with a repentant heart (a changed mind), knowing that you have sinned in your life and need His forgiveness. He is in the business of saving people. Jesus proved that when He died on your behalf for your sins.
The Lord is near to all who call on Him, to all who call on Him in truth.
Psalm 145:18
Let Him – the great I AM; Almighty God – who loves you dearly (John 3:16), take care of you and guide you through this time.
